Botanical Name: Rosemarinus officinalis

Family: Labiate – mint family

Place of Origin: Mediterranean region- France, Spain, Tunisia, Italy and Yugoslavia

Description: Bushy and branched Evergreen grows 6 feet high.  Leaves are stiff, leathery like pine needles, and opposite.  Flowers are light blue and bloom from March to May

Essential Oil: Extracted by steam distillation from the flowering plant.  Liquid is clear to Yellow. Fragrance is camphor like, strong and woody.

Content: Borneol, bornylacetate, camphor, cineol, thujon

Mixes well with: Mint, bergamot, basil, Swiss pine, lemon, juniper cedar

Character: Yang
